Automotive paint mixing rooms are generally required for operations where paint is being mixed. For simple storage of paint an approved cabinet is sufficient. Paint can also be mixed in the spray booth but is not recommended especially in automotive refinishing situations where sensitive scales and computer equipment would soon be covered in overspray.

Automotive paint mix rooms are available in a range of sizes and designs and can come with multiple doors and can be attached directly to the spray booth. The design is limited in size to a 150 square foot footprint and the air flow is relatively low, just enough to keep fume levels down.
